Peter Borish Supports Mecox Capital as New Options-Focused Hedge Fund Prepares for Launch

Peter Borish Acts as a Backer of Mecox Capital Partners

A known veteran in the hedge fund investing world, Peter Borish, a founding member of Tudor Investment Corporation, has committed to a new hedge fund venture called Mecox Capital Partners that comes as a huge boost prior to its inception. The new venture plans to begin trading in early 2026 with assets under management pegged at $50 million, employing a short-term options trading strategy that is strictly tactical in nature.

Mecox Capital Partners is based out of Bridgehampton, in the state of New York, and the fund derives its name from Mecox Bay in the Hamptons. The intention is to position the fund as a agile, or boutique, hedge fund, focusing on short-duration trades in the area of options trading, which would ride the upcoming market movements. The strategy would include making between three to five trades on the options front every day.

One such individual is Borish, famous for his long track record as a global macro investor and for his involvement with Tudor Investment Corporation, where he played a key role in building the organization. He was optimistic about the company and its strategy, and he emphasized the value of discipline in the field of discretionary trading, with consistency and diligence being key in the current fast-paced financial environment.

Experienced Leadership and Market-Oriented Strategy

Richard Passer, the founder of Mecox Capital Partners, will serve as the Chief Investment Officer. Passer presents a unique combination of investment, operating, and investor-related experience. He has operating experience in the areas of trading, fund management, and investor relations at a variety of investment management organizations. It is clear from his skill set that he has the ability to manage the overall strategy and operations of the fund.

Passer is joined by Kiran Srinivas, who takes up the position of Chief Portfolio Officer. Srinivas has more than two decades of experience in the hedge fund industry, including senior investment roles at some of the leading multi-strategy and quantitative shops. His skills in the areas of portfolio strategy, risk management, and trading are likely to add depth to Mecox Capital’s strategy in options trading.

With strong leadership in place, the support of a prominent hedge fund personality, and a well-structured trading model, Mecox Capital Partners is ready to join the hedge fund industry with the ambition of achieving consistent performance using short-term trading models. As the company gets ready to officially roll out in January, a fresh player in the hedge fund industry has emerged.
